About Solidarity 4 Ed Leaders

S4EL began in July 2020 as an attempt to bring together social justice leaders, at a time when so many of us were feeling the urgency of grappling with twin epidemics of COVID-19 and racial injustice. Not only did we feel the urgency, we also felt the opportunity of the moment.

The opportunity arose from knowing that so many around us who may never before had spoken openly about inequity and injustice could now see how rampant it was. And yet at work, we might not have enough support to actually plan and problem solve.

We have maintained the commitment to giving and getting help with each other through events of 2021, such as the Capitol riots. We have collated resources, spread the word, and found a network for personal and professional growth.
